Hope the bronco finds a home soon. Not just for you...it looks kind of lonesome out there all by itself after seeing it so many different places this last year.

I too tend to have anthropomorphic feelings about my RVs. Spending time living in an RV I can't help but have feelings for the little bronco, after all we shared a lot last winter, in both good times and bad, and together we made it safely back to Colorado, and that says a lot for the little bronco.

Researching weight ratings is always very interesting. It always comes down to the weakest link which is usually the ratings for tires. I had a 2003 Chev 2500 which had the same rear end as a 3500 but a lighter spring pack, The tires were the weak spot. The tires were rated at 6400 lbs if I remember. I upgraded the tires and was able to increase it to 7,000 lbs. I was within the rating for the rear end and air bags dealt with the springs. Of course with a camper you might have to be concerned with sway also.

When I bought my 2007 GMC 2500 I remember the car dealer telling me that the only difference in my truck from the 3500 was the spring pack and the tires. I don't know if that was completely true but after I upgraded the tires to Michelin "E" rated I didn't worry much about its weight carrying capability anymore. But the little bronco, at about 1700 pounds dry, did make it squat a little in the rear end.
