Beautiful day today, typical early fall, I had to run the heater for a few minutes this morning to take the chill off the room, but the rest of the day was T-shirt weather.
I made a list last night of the things I would like to improve about the little Bronco, that would make it more fun, more convenient, and more comfortable to camp in. There's six or eight things on the list all of which can be done by me whenever I get the ambition.
The biggest annoyance is having to poke in the canvas sides when I'm putting the top down because they always billow out instead of going inside the camper. This is extremely annoying and somewhat time-consuming, but the biggest problem with it is it makes me not want to put the top down and go someplace after I set up the camper for the night.
As an example there were times at Rocky Mountain national Park when I was camped, that I felt like driving somewhere and taking a picture of the sunset, but I didn't because putting down the top is so annoying.... That's not good.
I thought back to that not being a problem on my previous pop-up and how Hallmark solved the problem. There were small bungee cords that attached to the canvas and pulled it in as the top came down, this seems pretty simple so I ordered about 30 feet of 1/8 inch bungee cord, and with a little imagination maybe I can make it pull the soft sides in as the top comes down like should've been done in the first place.
I'll probably solve a few of these annoyances before I leave for the winter and the rest will wait until I get back in the late spring which will give me plenty of time to make the little Bronco more user-friendly so camping in it for more than a week is not such a challenge.
