my expenses for the month of July 2018

I decided to post my July budget today, not much of anything  is going on so posting my budget will be the high point of my day.

Camping--- 0--- boondocking in my daughter's yard has a lot of benefits and this is one of them.

Truck--- $574--- this is inordinately high for my truck expense but this month I had to pay for an emissions test, the truck tag, and an oil and fuel filter change.

Fuel--- $49--- I believe my camping trip was most of that.

Trailer--- 0--- I like to see zeros in my expenses.

Groceries – – $217 – – I'm still being mostly fed by my relatives, I don't know how long they will continue to do that, but it's great while it's happening.

Eat out – – $5 – – the restaurants around here are going broke.

Utilities – – $258 – – same old same old, storage room, phone Bill, propane.

Personal – – $1433 – – what in the world did I spend that much money on? Since it was personal it must've been a lot of fun. No wait... It was some property tax. No wonder it wasn't fun.

Hobbies – – $358 – – some of that was GunBroker fees for selling some guns. And the rest was for the new headset I bought to dictate my blog posts with. Which by the way are working great, way less dictation mistakes, and the battery lasts forever. I charged up the battery the day I got it and I haven't charged it since.

Miscellaneous – – 0 – – I think I keep miscellaneous in my spreadsheet column just so I'll have another zero to look at most months.

Total for the month – – $2894 – – that property tax bill really thru my monthly expenses out of kilter, but it is what it is, and it has to be paid. I've come to realize we really don't own property, the government just lets us use it as long as we pay them for it. And if you don't think that's true just try not paying your property tax for a few years, and you will find out very quickly who really owns it.
