Today was a beautiful day so I went to Walmart this morning and picked up a few things to put in the little Bronco pop-up. Just standard things like paper plates and bowls, plastic spoons and forks, some canned food, things I can leave in the camper so I don't have to remember to put things like that in when I decide to take a trip. I try to keep my mini-vacation checklist as small as possible so I can leave in an hour if I want to.
Now I wouldn't do that of course, because unlike when I'm traveling in the winter and my comings and goings only affect me. Here In Denver if I decide to do something it affects other people so I try to make plans ahead of time.
The Walmart is about 5 miles away from me and most of that 5 miles is on a four-lane 65 mph Highway which is the fastest that the little Bronco has gone with me at the wheel. It handled just fine, in fact other than being a little slower to stop I really couldn't tell the pop-up was back there.
I've set a tentative departure date for next Monday as my mini-vacation, shakedown cruise. Which means that if I don't have any problems it will be a mini-vacation, and if I do it will be a shakedown cruise. I'm thinking everything should be okay, because the little Bronco is so simple there's just not much that can go wrong. But I believe the captain of the Titanic said something similar to that just before the lookout yelled....ICEBURRRRG.
The little Bronco is right at home parked out where the RVs normally Park In a Walmart parking lot.
