I'm not feeling any better today than I did yesterday but I take that as a good sign because for the last few days I've been feeling worse, and worse. So maybe I've peaked and tomorrow I will start the slow climb back to normal.
As part of my healing process I've been doing a lot of sitting around and relaxing trying not to exert myself in any way, in other words I'm doing just what I do every day.
I'm not a big believer in taking any medicine for common maladies like I sometimes get, normally I do just what a sick dog does, I lay around and take it easy, don't eat much if at all, and drink lots of water. And in no time at all my coat is shiny, my nose is cool, and I'm chasing squirrels around the yard.
Here's a little medical advice that could save you a bundle. if you're really feeling sick a veterinarian is way cheaper than a regular doctor and knows almost as much. Just keep in mind you don't want them to take your temperature, if they want to "fix" you that doesn't mean they want to make you better, and most of all don't let them keep you overnight, the kennel is noisy and the food is terrible.
I haven't completely given up on my trip to Rocky Mountain national Park, but the chances of going next week are very slim at the moment. I figure my last chance of going would be to leave on Tuesday. So if I woke up tomorrow morning and felt like chasing squirrels around the yard, that would give me a chance to get the camper packed up and ready to go Tuesday morning. Any later than that and I would run up against the Labor Day holiday with the traffic and crowds that will start on Friday or even Thursday after lunch.
