The Arctic Fox Boondocking for the last time at Box Wash, Wickenburg Arizona
A yellow flower growing next to the road
I spent some of the day today getting the Arctic Fox ready to leave for Phoenix tomorrow morning, so there's not much to do tomorrow except put in the slides and hitch up. It's only going to be about an hours drive to Ben Avery's gun range and I'm in no hurry.
I think I'm going to miss Box Wash, it's been a nice place to be and it probably won't be here when I come back. The folks I've met here have all been good people, and it is a pretty location. I'm also going to miss the atmosphere of Wickenburg. I think it's pretty safe to say that it's a cowboy town, everywhere you go there's pickup trucks towing horse trailers, and Cowboys walking around with muddy boots and spurs, come to think of it it hasn't rained around here for quite a while so that might not be mud on their boots, but you get the idea. There good country folks and I like being around people like that.
Camping at Ben Avery's gun range will be different. There's a Walmart close by, there's a Home Depot right down the road, and best of all I'll get to eat at Ray's Pizza every once in a while, and I love me some Ray's pizza. Instead of the peace and quiet I get at Box Wash, at Ben Avery's I will wake up every morning to the sound of gunfire. Which is not all that bad because I like the smell of Gun smoke in the morning.
I think that's one of the neat things about being a full-timer, I can live in several completely different places and enjoy the different lifestyles in all of those places. And when I get tired of a location because I've seen all I want to see I can just hook up and leave.
