I moved from 11 mile reservoir to an area in the national forest where a lot of people boondock when they don't want to pay for a campsite at 11 mile reservoir State Park or the park is full and this dispersed camping area is only a couple of miles away. There's five or six RVs out here now and several of them have boats, so I guess this is a good place to boondock and still be able to get your boat in the lake without much trouble. The weather is the same as it's been for the last few days, nice in the morning and then after lunch it clouds up and starts raining. It's not too much of a hardship because I can do my outdoor stuff in the mornings and settle into the Arctic Fox in the afternoon and listen to the rain on the roof. It Usually only gets up to about 70° or so and at night its getting down into the high 40s. Even though I had rather be out at Poverty Gulch I can do most anything here that I could do there except shoot. Technically I can shoot here because it is the national forest but there's other RVs in the area and I wouldn't want to disturb their peace and quiet so if I want to do any shooting I can just drive over to poverty Gulch, it's only 6 or 7 miles away, and shoot till my hearts content. My Verizon phone service is a little shaky around here and goes from 4G with three or four bars to 3G with one or two bars which means that getting on the Internet is kind of hit and miss. I'm hoping I can get enough Internet to post to my blog without driving somewhere, so if you're reading this I guess I did. theboondork |
