It looks like the weather is finally getting a bit closer to Fall now since the ten-day forecast is showing highs of the 70s and 80s instead of the usual 90s. Of course, I've been fooled before with the ten-day forecast, but I'm tired of the hot weather, so it will be nice to have some cool weather that I can complain about.

Ever since I temporarily gave up on getting the taillights for the Lance working and put in some temporary emergency lights that have been working just fine, I've been feeling guilty of late that I let the lights, with their relatively simple connections, beat me, confounded me, and caused me to question my ability to fix anything that goes wrong with my RVs.

I admit that electrical things give me the most problems, being much more confident with mechanical difficulties. Still, it bothers me to give up on a situation like this, even temporarily. So lately, I've been feeling like I need to get out my multi-meter, relocate the offending wires, and start at least pretending that I know what I'm doing.

I know I could leave my temporary emergency lights on the Lance since they've been doing just what they're supposed to do, but that wouldn't absolve me of the shame of being unable to maintain and repair my own RV. There's more at stake here than just making the lights blink when there supposed to;  this is a test of my guyness, my manliness, and even my machismo. And If I can't fix a simple taillight, where can I go to get my toxic masculinity back?
