I pulled off the road into the National Forest to spend the night. The following pics are scenes on the way to my property. Unfortunately, I will be at my property tomorrow, where there is no internet, so you probably won't be hearing from me until I get back a little closer to civilization.

I discovered an enormous Boo Boo this morning when I found I left a key component of my headphones at home, so my headphones no longer work, and I have to type my blog laboriously instead of quickly dictating it.

Day after tomorrow, I should be in Salida, Colorado, where there's a Walmart, and I will buy some cheap headphones so I can dictate my blog as usual. But until then, I'm going to have to write as little as possible, or it will take me all day to type out a typical blog post.

Aha. A dictator and not a typist. Who knew. Glad you have made it to you spot.....and I look forward to something from Salida. As always, as it is true, I say it's a long time since I've been there and would like to see what it looks like now....
The Arkansas being nicely tame compared to it's further downstream adventures.

Yep, I'm a dictator. If I weren't, it would take a week to write my daily blog.

I am looking forward to binging in Salida myself. There's a Walmart I boondock at when I'm in the area.

If that headphone component is the only thing you forgot you did very well indeed!

My worst "forgot" was when I forgot to put the license plate sticker on when I got the RV out of winter storage. We almost made it to the county line when we got stopped by a county mountie for an expired plate. Fortunately, his computer told him I actually bought the tab so he just gave me a fixit ticket with a delayed deadline and let us go on our way.

Use to when I had a home that didn't move I kept duplicates of almost everything in the RV that I needed to travel with, so there was only a handful of things I needed to put in at the last minute before I left on a trip. But the little Bronco is still not that way because I got rid of most things I owned especially duplicates.

The cops and their computers are getting better and better. There's not a whole lot they don't know about you before they walk up to your car.... Which is truly a mixed blessing.
