My second anniversary is coming up

I took a picture of the moon the other night

I had a nice peaceful night last night, it seems like that's mostly the case when I'm boondocking. I don't know if it's the quiet, the fresh air, or just because I'm content, but it does seem like I sleep better when I'm boondocked somewhere.

Of course I'm a pretty good sleeper no matter where I'm at, which is a good quality to have if you plan on boondocking in Walmart parking lots and truck stops. I prefer not to stay at truck stops if I can help it because they're not only noisy but some of them seem to be infested with panhandlers and beggars that will accost you as soon as you get out of the truck. I never give them anything but it just bothers me that they're allowed to harass customers at a private business.

This coming Sunday will be the second anniversary of me becoming a full-time RVer. I'm not sure what I want to do to celebrate such an auspicious event but a celebration of some sort seems to be in order.

I was also thinking of making a blog post that would be suitable for such an occasion such as, how much it cost to live for the year, or my favorite gadgets for boondocking, or maybe even what my plans are for next year... I know that one wont work cause I don't have any plans for next year. But I'll come up with something.

How about a blog about the things you like to do when traveling.

That would be a good idea if I did anything that was the least bit interesting, but for the most part being retired and living in an RV is not very exciting. In fact I don't think anyone has ever read anything I've written that has the words, adventure, excitement, or yee-haw anywhere in my blog.

Now there are a few things that I do sometimes like, ride around on my Yamahog, fly my drone, take some pictures, and search for Spanish treasure. But those things are to mundane to make a whole blog post about.

But it does give me something to think about, and I do have a couple of days to make up some interesting things that I do, so your idea might work out after all.

One of my largest comments blog with a huge uptick in hits was the one a few weeks ago on spreading peanut butter on pancakes. How is that for mundane?

Yeah that's pretty mundane all right. When I read it my first thought was, where in the world do you come from that they put peanut butter on pancakes?

The only logical explanation I can think of why that would be the case is that a large number of your readers work at the International House of Pancakes.

I thought so. International House of pancakes has half a dozen flavors of syrup on the table, but I've never seen a jar of peanut butter.

When I see a picture like your boondocking area describes as crowded I know I've happened on a real boondocker. That's what my preferred boondocking locations looked like. :)

Great minds think alike Linda Sand. In this day and age it's easy to be in a crowd when you're an RVer. It's a bit harder to be alone.

Happy 2 year anniversary!!! I don't know how far you are from town, but maybe you could treat yourself to a nice dinner to celebrate your anniversary. Hoping you have another twenty years :-) or as long as it makes you happy, of safe & joyful traveling. Still loving your beautiful photos! I eat over easy eggs on top of my pancakes & I eat peanut butter on my waffles, I don't care for syrup.

Great to hear from you as always Maggie. Thank you very much, I wish what I do could make everyone out there as happy as I am.

I've heard of eggs on top of pancakes usually because if you put them both on a plate they get mixed up together anyway. But that whole peanut butter thing is a befuddlement to me. I eat at the Waffle House every once in a while and don't remember seeing peanut butter mentioned on the menu.

At least it must be easier to spread peanut butter on a waffle than it is on a pancake. but waffles were designed to hold syrup, that's the whole point of a waffle.

I like the idea of celebrating my anniversary by eating in town, I will check if there's a Chinese buffet, are some Mexican food that looks good.

This whole conversation has made me hungry so I think I'll drive into town and see if there is an IHOP or a Waffle House.
