New Mexico has always been too cold for me in the winter

Rhymings not easy to do every day, sometimes it don't work, sometimes it's okay, but today I couldn't think of nothing to say, so just click the pics you know the way.

I walked outside this morning to find half the Lake shrouded in fog. Half an hour later it engulfed the boondocking area where I'm at. It did no harm, but it was thick enough that I was thankful I wasn't driving.

The fifth wheel that's boondocked on the beach is a common sight here. The local residents that have an annual park pass like I do, pay nothing for boondocking on the beach, so near a holiday they will drag their trailer to their favorite spot, often an area where it's easy to launch their boat from the beach, and leave their trailer parked there for the holiday so they don't have to fight the crowds to find a spot when things get busy.

I got everything I needed at Walmart yesterday to last me till the holidays are over, so I should only leave my boondocking spot to get some propane on Monday. After that, I don't want to leave my boondocking spot until everyone has left.

I've given some thought to when I will leave here, and it will be sometime after Thanksgiving. And the only reason I'm even thinking about it is It's supposed to start getting chilly around here next week with highs in the 50s and 60s and night times in the 30s, and that may be a hint that I need to get further south. Like I've always said, New Mexico is too cold for me in the winter; it's fine in the late Fall and early Spring, but there's usually too much humidity in New Mexico during the winter, so it feels a bit colder than the desert areas of Arizona.

The transition from my Denver sedentary life to reviving my traveling man persona is starting to feel more normal to me now, and the days are going by a lot quicker now that I've been here for about a week. I'm looking forward to the places I enjoy visiting during my winter travels. But since this El Niño weather pattern is supposed to change the weather, and since the places I go and the things I do are largely based on the weather, I'm not sure where the best places to go will be if things change too drastically.

But I've got a feeling, based on years of looking at weather forecasts, that the weather is never as bad as the weather forecasters make it sound. Fortunately for me, I live daily with very few plans for the future, and the only place I like better than where I'm at, is where I'm going.

The fog and the sunrise clouds constantly changing made for some interesting colors.

The fog slowly creeps over the lake obscuring familiar landmarks that give boaters all kinds of problems finding their way back to land, and has done so since the beginning of time.
