My ten-day weather forecast calls for highs in the high 70s and lows in the low 50s, which is perfect for me.

It's also perfect weather for getting outside and accomplishing something useful... Which I may or may not do, depending on my mood. It takes much more than nice weather to get me to do something useful. I have to wake up in the morning with a slight twinge of ambition to even think about, thinking about doing something useful, and even if that happens, my procrastination will usually jump up and tell me how Mañana will be a better day to do whatever needs to be done.

I did manage to toddle down to the Walmart store and buy a few things, but I only buy a little because my homemade grocery bag only holds a little. But, Walmart no longer offers bags to carry groceries in while shopping in Colorado, so I limit how much I buy.

I did pick up a new fishing license while I was there, which I don't really use for fishing, but it gets me Into some of the wildlife areas in Colorado, and especially the San Luis Lake wildlife area, where I can camp for free, with electricity, just by showing my fishing license. And since I'm old, my resident fishing license is only ten bucks.

On the Internet last night, I saw an article about the BLM, not the one you're thinking about, but the real BLM. And they are apparently thinking about and re-imagining how they can "Make the public lands more useful to the American people." And as soon as I heard that, I knew that free boondocking, as we all know it, is about to come to an end. Probably not in my lifetime, but changes are on the way.

From what I can tell once I waded through all the weasel words and usual government drivel, it appears they're trying to find ways of making the public pay for the use of public lands, as if our tax money didn't pay for everything to start with, in several ways including leasing out the public land to concessionaires that will put up campgrounds and charge the public for their use.

And the governments usual plan of action, which is closing off certain BLM public lands so they can't be used by the public anymore. this is all bad news being put out by the current administration, but since these will only be rules, they can be changed by a different administration.
