It was cloudy and sprinkling off and on for most of the day so I didn't do very much of anything.
I did manage to go to Home Depot and pick up a few bits and pieces that it will take to put my old spare fuel tank back in the truck. I thought when I bought the little Bronco pop-up that it wouldn't work to leave my spare fuel tank in the front of the bed of the truck and slide the pop-up camper in behind it, I thought that might leave the bronco pop-up hanging out too far in the rear.
But since it hangs out anyway, and initial measurements indicate that I might be able to put the spare fuel tank where it belongs and only move the camper back maybe another inch or so. But it's kind of hard to tell with the camper in the back of the truck already so I need to jack it up and pull out from under it two or three feet so I can put the spare fuel tank in and see if it's going to work.
I believe my current truck is the third truck this fuel tank has been in, and when I'm in places where it's a long way to get diesel fuel, or I've passed station after station that doesn't sell diesel, it's very reassuring to have that spare tank back there.
