old people talk about the weather,what else have we got to talk about?

It's been a while since I've taken any pictures, I've been busy doing other things. So these are left over pictures from Tincup during my last mini-vacation.

The 10-day forecast is surprisingly similar; every day, the highs will be in the low 80s, and every night, the lows will be in the low 50s. Lots of sunshine, very little chance of rain. typical Fall weather.

During October, that will start changing, and some of those highs will drop down into the 50s and 60s, and some nighttime lows will fall to freezing with a chance of snow.  Over a lifetime, I have learned that three things don't go together at all: freezing temperatures, snow, and ME!

Of course, none of those predictions could come true because nobody is 100% sure if we are going to have a La Niña weather pattern or an El Niño weather pattern even though current forecasts are predicting a good chance of an El Niño winter, which will mean, in general, a cooler and wetter southern parts of the United States. But none of that matters to me very much because I can only head south and hope for the best while preparing for the worst.

I think I need to take more mini-vacations, because that's where I get most of my pictures. And especially this time of year, when most of the flowers are dying or dead, and the ones that are still alive are looking pretty ratty from all the bugs that eat them. The Grandkids are back in school so I don't do much with them anymore, and on weekends they need to spend time with there parents.

So all in all there's just not much to take pictures of this time of year, until the leaves start changing. It looks like I'll only be taking two mini vacations this summer which is not enough vacation time for me. Remember, my travels during the winter are not a vacation, it's just me living a normal life in a warm place. It's Summer when I go places that interest me.

These folks are Boondocked in the national forest just down the road from me In Tincup, and they kind of look like they're living there permanently which is not good because it makes all of us boondocker's look bad.

And look at all the junk they've got laying around. It's hard to believe all that junk will fit inside their camper. It not only looks bad but you would assume that any forest ranger driving by would spot this trailer immediately.

To me a tackle box contains more than fishing tackle. Ever since I was a kid I loved fishing, and even when I wasn't fishing I was rearranging my tackle box, and making sure it had everything In it I needed to go fishing the next chance I got.

I still have my original Umco aluminum tackle box, that I bought at the Homestead Air Force Base BX, where my dad was stationed when I was 14 years old. And that tackle box is so full of childhood dreams, and my memories that it can only be handed down to one of my sons or grandson.

There's normally three businesses open in Tincup, two gift shops and a restaurant. But today one of the gift shops is closed which cuts your shopping opportunities In half.
