I went to the Walmart today, which is about 3 or 4 miles from Storrie Lake State Park, and bought a few things that I needed. That should be my last shopping trip on my winter travels.

 It makes me kind of sad to think that my winter travels are coming to an end, but it makes me happy to know I get to spend the summer with my family. I'm so lucky because I get to spend the Winter in the warm places of the desert Southwest and the Summer in the beautiful Colorado mountains with my family.

The weather around here has been just about perfect lately, the mid-70s in the daytime mid-60s at night and some clouds but seldom any rain. And oddly enough, Denver weather is predicted to be almost the same for next week by the time I get there. But because of the mountains, Denver can go from sunny to snow in the Springtime aalmost before you can remember where you put your coat.

I was thinking of leaving here this weekend, but some windy days are coming up, and I'm not particularly eager to travel when it's windy, but that, of course, depends on what direction the wind is blowing. So I'm going to have to start paying closer attention to the weather this weekend and pick the best day to leave based on the wind and which way it's blowing.

The Dork Mobile parked in front of an old but beautiful store in Las Vegas New Mexico. To me old buildings like this are interesting, they have a heart, they have a story to tell,  the complete opposite of the soulless warehouses that we shop at today.

This old house is right across the street from the local college. And as soon as I saw it all I could think of was the movie "Animal House."

The Plaza Hotel. Everyone from famous outlaws, to presidents, have passed through these doors. But given a choice I still prefer boondocking in the Arctic Fox.
