I spent some time today preparing for bugging out tomorrow and heading for Seminole Canyon State Park.
I think I'm going to miss being at the San Pedro boondocking area. I've been here a month and that's plenty of time to get a feel for a place, and I have good feelings about this area.
Everyone I've run into here has been really nice folks especially the National Park staff that works here. The people that I've had an opportunity to talk to in Del Rio have also been friendly and accommodating. It's been very quiet and peaceful here and I've never once felt apprehensive about anything going on around me. Two dollars a day, with the geezer pass, is more than fair. And having my trash picked up every other day is almost worth the price of admission by itself.
So on one hand I'm feeling excited to be getting on the move again, even though Seminole Canyon is only about 25 miles away, on the other hand I've really enjoyed being at the San Pedro boondocking area and will probably miss it a little.
