I made it safely to Padre island by early afternoon and found a campsite at Padre Balli County Park campground.
The temperature was about 70 when I got here which sure felt good after the chilly weather I've been living with for the last two weeks. It looks like its going to stay in the 70s for the week I'm here, and there's supposed to be a lot of cloudy weather which will increase my chances of getting a really great sunrise or sunset picture.
I hit a lot of road construction coming into Corpus Christi, and with the amount of traffic there was it made pulling the Arctic Fox really sketchy. I'm going to try to find another way out of here so I don't have to go through that again.
I see on the news that the two bodies they found buried here at the Padre Balli campground were those missing RVers. And their truck and trailer were stolen and driven into Mexico by an "unknown" person. It's such a shame and may have been prevented if the government did what it is constitutionally required and enforce the laws to control our borders, or be held accountable.
There's a lot of people driving on the beach this afternoon.
