Seeing as how tomorrow's Father's Day, and my daughter wanted to take me out to my favorite restaurant, it was decided that going this morning would be less crowded than going tomorrow morning. So the whole family packed into two cars and drove the 5 miles to Lucile's Creole Café for the best breakfast in Denver.
I'm not sure if our beat the crowd idea worked out because a lot of other people apparently had the same idea so we still had a 30 minute wait to get a table. But if there's any restaurant that's worth waiting 30 minutes to get a table, its Lucile's.
Everything I've had on their menu has been really good but the biscuits and gravy is a special kind of good. Biscuits and gravy is one of my favorite breakfast foods so I order it wherever I get the chance, and without a doubt Lucile's Creole café has the best I've ever eaten, which makes sense because breakfast is their specialty.
Now going to breakfast at Lucile's was not the only thing I did today but its the only thing I can remember, because everything else paled in comparison.
