Pics, and the desire to click them, has been diminished due to global warming.
Another hot day in Denver. I can see the cool mountains in the background, and I'm close, oh so close, yet still too far away.
I finished hooking up my inverter this morning, which means all of my basic systems are working now. I have solar power to keep my battery charged, and I have AC power so I can plug in my computer and phone.
Accomplishing that gives me hope there's a mini-vacation to the mountains in my near future. I don't know where that would be yet, but just as long as its above 9000 feet, I don't much care because that's all it would take to get me into some 70° days, some chilly nights, and at the moment that's all I need to make me happy.
So mostly, what I'm doing in the Lance camper is straightening things up and making it livable for me. I want to get rid of the queen-sized mattress it came with and put in a twin-sized bed just for me. That will save some weight, and I don't need a big mattress to sleep on anyway; I pretty much wake up in the morning in the exact same position I went to sleep that night; I'm the exact opposite of a tosser and turner. Maybe that's why I can sleep soundly in a Walmart parking lot; I don't move around at night; I just sleep.
I won't be able to renew my registration for the truck till next Wednesday to give the county time to get my current emissions check information. But that should be okay because I've got till the end of this month to get my tag, which I will do on the Internet, and as soon as I pay for the tag on the Internet, I will get a number that tells the cops that the registration sticker is in the mail and I'm good to go.
The inverter and the solar controller need to be as close to the batteries as possible, and the batteries are in the box that the inverter and controller are screwed to. Ordinarily they would be kind of in the way at this location, but since I live by myself they're not in my way so this location will be fine.
I moved the Lance over to where the Bronco used to sit when it was for sale, because this area is fairly level and I need a level place to test my refrigerator.
