I finished installing my new taillights on the Lance, except for a few details, but they're actually working and with any luck, will stay that way for many miles.

That may be wishful thinking since many of my electrical wiring jobs don't turn out all that well, especially jobs that require dealing with more than two wires. I do pretty well wiring up a solar panel system because I only have to know where two wires go, a positive and a negative. But when dealing with numerous wires, in multiple colors, things don't always go as well. But the taillights are working "at the moment," and that's usually the best I can hope for.

A mix of weather is coming to Denver in the 10-day forecast. Looking like there's going to be one day with a high in the mid-70s, two days with a high in the low 90s, and most days in the mid-80s, and that sounds pretty good for August.

Now that I've got Lance's taillights working, I need to turn my attention to the roof vent over my bed, which doesn't have a fan as you would normally expect, but is just a vent that opens and closes. There is a vent with a fan in the rear of the camper, but you can move a lot more air if you've got one vent fan blowing in cool air and another sucking out the hot air.

I bought a nice modern vent fan last summer to replace the old bedroom vent, but somehow I managed to find legitimate reasons not to replace the old vent every single day through the entire Summer, Fall, and Winter. No way would ordinary people be able to think up that many excuses for not doing a simple job. And even though I hate to brag, finding reasons not to do any kind of work seems to come naturally to me... I can put off doing anything without feeling any guilt whatsoever.

To live up to my reputation as the "potentate of procrastination," I fully intend to put off my demise indefinitely. Any run-of-the-mill amateur procrastinator can put off a job because the weather is too hot, or it's raining. But it takes a procrastinator of epic abilities to look the Grim Reaper in the eye and say, "I don't feel like going anywhere today, maybe tomorrow."
