My new digs at the Pima County Fairgrounds. It's full hookups but the only thing I cared about was electricity to run my air conditioner, and staying as far away from people as I can, and the hosts did a good job for me on both counts.

I went to the office this morning and re-upped myself out of the boondocking area, and into the full hookups for a week, and if my memory is correct I believe this is the first time I've had an electric hookup In over four months..... and it's a weird feeling. I don't like to wimp out of boondocking like that since I do prefer boondocking over RV parks but the desert heat got the best of me and since traveling through New Mexico is not going to work this year I figured I needed a week of comfort and stability to relax while I reshuffle my life.

I checked the New Mexico state parks Facebook page this morning and it basically said a handful of New Mexico state parks were re-opening today for "day use only"..... definitely not what I wanted to hear. I'm assuming that means it's probably going to be weeks before the parks open up for camping so I need to start making plans on what to do in the future that doesn't include New Mexico.

I guess I could look into boondocking opportunities in New Mexico, But since their annual pass allows me to boondock in all the state parks for free is such a good deal I've never had to actually boondock anywhere in New Mexico outside of the state parks, so I'm not sure where I would go. And because of all the closures any information I could get about places to boondock that's more than a month old probably wouldn't be accurate.

The first thing I need to do is get out of this desert, it's pretty hot now and  only going to get worse, already a large part of the day is unusable for anything other than cooking a pizza on the hood of my truck, so I need to get North and higher in altitude than I am now and it looks like Arizona is the only way available for me to travel and have places to stay.
