Rocky Mountain national Park here I come

It was a busy day today, at least busy for my normal way of doing things. I had to go to the post office this morning, and then to the bank, and a final trip to the gun store to have the last pistol that I'm going to sell this summer shipped off to Texas.

Most of the rest of the day was spent catching up with the blog and loading the truck to take my minivacation to Rocky Mountain national Park [RMNP] tomorrow.  My initial plan is to make it a three night trip but that's highly dependent upon the weather and if I'm having fun or not.

From the maps I see on the Internet there is some cell phone service near the edges of the national Park but not in the middle so I'm not sure if I will be able to post on my blog every day, but I will write every day and post when I get to something resembling civilization.

It's not very far from where I'm at, less than a 100 miles even going the scenic route like I'm planning on doing, which will take me through Central City and Black Hawk two of Colorado's three gambling towns.

There's a whole lot to see in RMNP and I'll only be able to scratch the surface in three or four days. There's a bunch of hiking trails very few of which are suitable for me, I tend to stay off the kind of trails that when you trip and fall you roll for three days. But it'll be fun, there are a few geezer trails, [ Help! I've fallen and I can't get up] so I may try some of those. But mostly I plan on relaxing in the cool mountain air and taking a few pictures after all this is a lazy man's minivacation
