Ha, you are there. I do love clouds drifting down mountains. Or mesas, or whatever they can find to do that at the right time. Glad you are on your way and in a favorite place. I recall the San Luis Valley is also the coldest place in CO. I suspect you will get out of there well before that's a problem. Meanwhile, enjoy.

Thank you Judith. I'm glad to be here, even though it rained off and on for most of the day which kept me from doing anything interesting. So, with all the clouds and rain around, and my philosophy of "if life gives you lemons, make lemonade," I made as much lemonade as I could taking pictures of clouds and rain.

It's nice to get out of the "rut" as you say. I'm kind of stuck due to outside forces so I enjoy your escape. Way back when we had a TC we left a chair or something to preserve our site when we left in the rig to go exploring. I've seen folks put out occupied signs. What do you use to preserve your site in those walk in area's. Inquiring minds want to know...........If you are purely boondocking you just find another spot.

Everyone gets stuck in the rut sooner or later, it's just a matter of when and for how long.

I liked using those collapsible cones. Until someone ran over one of mine and broke it. Oh, well.

I guess I've been very lucky because I haven't had anything stolen. I think now days there's so many van campers around that most folks realize that van campers have to leave their site to go get groceries, and are more careful not to pick a site that might be occupied by a van, or any other camper that is also your only means of transportation.
