Scary weather

What passes for the family dog. It's actually a Chihuahua, Hamster mix.

As I mentioned before, we had some wind and hail problems yesterday afternoon, but it was over in about half an hour, and everyone assumed that it was done. But late last night, it all returned; this time, I was in the Lance, and with the hail coming down I had never heard such a racket.

The hail was beating down on the camper to such a degree that I had to put on my headphones to deaden the sound enough to stand it; I don't think I've ever heard a racket like that... The sound was plumb painful. The hail punched a hole in my forward roof vent, which is no big deal since I've been planning on replacing it with a roof vent with a fan in it for the last year; hopefully this may encourage me to do so. I haven't had a chance yet to get up on the roof of the Lance or the Arctic Fox and see how the solar panels are doing; I sure hope nothing has happened to them.

The area also had a tornado or two, but it didn't affect where I'm at...Thank goodness. Tornadoes scare me more than any other natural disaster, especially at night when you can't tell where they're at or where they're heading.
