I think your trees afire.

Even though the sun was shining brightly today, I wasn't getting much battery charging with the sun being filtered through the trees, so to avoid any low battery problems, I hopped in the truck, and moseyed over to the local grocery store parking lot where there was no shade in any direction, and the batteries started charging normally.

After going to the grocery store and picking up a few things, I reminded myself that anywhere I park is home, so I got in the camper, told myself that I was in my daughter's driveway instead of at the grocery store, and made myself at home. If I didn't look out the window, it was like being where I belong, except my batteries are now being charged.

I'm considering staying in Denver until the day after Halloween, but I wonder if I should stay that long with the charging problems and a cold front moving in later this week, bringing about four days of cold, cloudy weather. But I don't know if New Mexico or Arizona would be much better, so I will have to look that up online and see what's happening downrange.

I filled up a tank of propane today at four dollars a gallon at the Ace Hardware store, and that's what it was when I got here at the beginning of summer, so propane hasn't gone out of sight. But diesel fuel is up to $4.69 a gallon at my local gas station. Which tells me I may be looking at five dollars a gallon during my winter travels. I can cut out many things and save some money, but there's not much I can do  about diesel fuel.

I've already cut out many snacky things from my eating habits, and I'm still determining how much more I can cut. But it's hard to tell right now because my family is feeding me most of the time so my grocery bills are pretty low. But I'm sure when I get back on the road,  the cost of feeding myself is going to be a shock.
