you can rest your clicking finger, there's only one pic to click.
my granddaughter hamming it up for the camera . this is my only picture today, I didn't feel like getting out and taking any.
I had a toothache today, and if you've ever had one, you would know it's no fun at all, so I spent all day doing nothing except blaming my current toothache on bad genes. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on my teeth; still, I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. My dad had false teeth by the time he was in his 40s, and those genetics are hard to ignore.
I have an appointment to inspect my truck for emissions on the 19th of this month. And since I got rid of the code that was showing, there shouldn't be any reason for it to fail, at least I hope not; it's getting a little late in the month to get something repaired, so I hope my test goes smoothly.
Once the truck's emission test is out-of-the-way, it should be smooth sailing toward my winter travels in October. Looking back on last year's winter travels and its chilly, wet beginnings, I wonder if I should get more cold-weather clothes out of storage and take them with me. I had tried to buy some cold weather stuff when I was in Arizona, and it was difficult, if not impossible, to find what I needed, mostly because you don't need winter clothes in Arizona in the winter, and partly because of what few winter clothes they had was sold out because everybody was cold.
I'm looking forward to taking some mini-vacations, probably starting next month. It will be hot by then, and a High Country trip will feel great. I plan to stay away from Rocky Mount National Park this year since I wasn't too thrilled with the crowds, the new rules, and all the restrictions that have been placed on it recently. But heading down to southern Colorado sounds good; there are some beautiful areas in Durango and Silverton, so I can see myself possibly spending time there.
