I have been checking on water availability out west for this winter. What is your opinion about the boondocking water situation out there in Az, NM etc.

I don't see any problem obtaining drinking water in the desert areas Barney, but watering your lawn could be a problem. The scarcity of water out West appears to be only in relation to farming, industry, and recreating on the lakes. I believe things will have to get a lot worse than they are now to affect the availability of drinking water.

Thank you Tom. I had missed that detail about the drinking water is not threatened only the water uses you mentioned are in real trouble for now. Thank you for your help again.

No problem Barney, always glad to share my limited knowledge. Hopefully you can get out West one of these days, I know it's a long drive from your usual hang-out on the Texas Gulf coast to southern Arizona, and I'm not sure if it would be any better than the Corpus area, but at least it would be different, and sometimes a body just needs a change.
