Some random thoughts

Not much going on today. I did work on making a Styrofoam cover for my lithium iron battery's positive terminals with some Styrofoam that I bought at Home Depot the other day. It's a simple project but since I cut the Styrofoam pieces inside I spent more time cleaning up bits of Styrofoam than I did making the thing.

I have discovered in my travels that having a TV with only antenna reception is pretty much a waste of time. Even though I'm receiving about 35 channels right now, if you throw out the channels with TV preachers, shopping clubs,  in languages that I no habla and reruns of 10-year-old game shows that prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that people are idiots, there's very very few that's worth watching. And I don't think there's a modern show on any of them they're all just reruns of shows from years ago. Fortunately this is only a minor inconvenience for me since I hardly watch the TV anyway.

The other day I ordered a little cable gadget from Amazon that is supposed to allow me to hook up my Samsung S8 phone to my laptops HDMI plug and watch movies on my laptop through my phone so I don't have to use my phone as a hotspot, and I have readers Vall & Mo to thank for that idea.

It was delivered today but I haven't had the motivation to walk up to the office and pick it up yet, but when I do it sounds like it's going to revolutionize the way I use the Internet and hopefully save me some money in the process. I will keep everyone apprised of the validity of that assumption.

My Initial opinions of the new air filter with all the HEPA's on it are not that great. I've been running it 24 hours a day on its highest setting since I bought it, which I believe was 3 or 4 days ago. I put it in the bedroom during the day and in the living room at night. And during the day I will move it around to different parts of the room so it doesn't sit in one place all day long.

Despite all that I can't see any difference in my dust accumulation. My laptop still has about the same amount of dust on the screen and on the keyboard that it always had.

I've taken out the filter a couple of times and there doesn't appear to be very much of anything on it.  I held a thin sliver of paper in front of the suction side and it is pulling air in so maybe I just haven't given it enough time. I haven't given up hope yet but at this point I wouldn't recommend anybody buy one.
