It was raining off and on today, and it was pretty chilly, so I officially deemed it a "do-nothing day" and set about accomplishing as much "doing nothing" as I could while at the same time remaining warm, well-fed, and comfortable.

The fairgrounds were dead today. The Hunter Jumper competition is over, but there's another one in a couple of days, so many of the contestants from the last one will remain here until the next one. This was the last day of the RV show, but since it was so rainy, cloudy, and chilly, hardly anybody showed up, so they should've ended the show yesterday afternoon when the weather was beautiful since 95% of the show was outdoors rain and muddy feet made life difficult for everyone.

The Budweiser Clydesdales were loaded up and whisked away in their luxurious and commodious trailers to parts unknown. They weren't around here very long, and I only spent a little time around them, but I actually miss them. Besides bringing a little excitement to the place when they walked around, they stayed out of sight in their stalls. The Pima County Fairgrounds is a regular stopover, so I might see them again next year.

WHOA!! Something weird happened when I finished writing that last paragraph about horses and trailers; I just received two pop-up advertisements with trailers in the name. The first one was from a company I bought my backup cameras from that are on the Arctic Fox and the Lance, and the first line of the advertisement said, and I quote, "The Best Horse Trailer Observation Cameras!" And the advertisement that popped up 30 seconds later was an advertisement for a movie trailer.... How is that possible?

I'm writing this on a writing app called WriteMonkey which isn't even connected to the Internet; my computers are on the Internet, but WriteMonkey isn't. In other words, I can turn off the Internet and still use WriteMonkey just like normal. So how did these advertisers know what I was writing almost before I finished the paragraph? Is it a coincidence?

This is spooky, to say the least, and it makes me wonder if an advertiser that sells backup cameras knows what I'm writing on my computer while I'm writing it; what do all these three letter government agencies know about us? I will have to look into this further because it bothers me.

Another horse balking at the jump. When a horse changes his mind about jumping they usually do one of two things, if they change their mind at the last second, they will come to an almost instantaneous stop, with the rider quite often sailing over the horses head and landing on the other side of the jump.

But when the horse has more time to make up his mind he will slow down quickly and try to run around the jump, which is what this horse is doing. This will put the rider badly out of shape but still maintaining some control.

Staying warm. Usually not a problem in Arizona, but for some reason this winter it is.

This rider is looking good. Notice how she's stretched out almost over the horses head, she gets in this position just before the horse jumps so if the horse balks at the jump and comes to a sudden stop, the rider is then in a perfect position to go sailing gracefully over the horses head as if shot from a slingshot.

But when the jump is executed properly, and the horse agrees with your decision to do this, it's a beautiful thing to behold.
