Since I like it where I'm at, and I needed to accomplish a few more things I re-upped for one more night here at the State Park.

Now that I'm on the road again and using my spare fuel tank, which is mounted in the bed of my truck, I noticed that when I switched on the electric pump that pumps the fuel from the 18 gallon spare tank to my main fuel tank, not much fuel was being transferred. I could hear the fuel pump running so I knew it was working but not much fuel was going through the lines.

Remembering that I hadn't changed the little in-line fuel filter that I put in about three years ago I checked it and sure enough there wasn't much going through it, so I went into Winslow, which is only a couple miles from me, and bought a new in-line fuel filter from an auto parts store.

While I was in Winslow I took the opportunity to stand on the corner so  like a million other Eagles fans could say I was "standing on the corner in Winslow Arizona". I probably wasn't "such a fine sight to see" because in an effort to ward off panhandlers my cunning plan has been to look like a homeless bum myself so the panhandlers think I'm a waste of time. It hasn't worked as well as I'd hoped because now I just attract a lower class of panhandler.

When I got home I put on the new fuel filter and now my fuel transfer system is working like it's supposed to. I wish I didn't need a spare fuel tank, but since I have a short bed GMC truck and they come with a 25 gallon tank, 25 gallons is not very much when you're pulling a trailer and getting 10 miles to the gallon, so that spare tank keeps me feeling warm and fuzzy while traveling in the West where it can be a looong way to the next town.

Tomorrow if I don't change my mind I'll be leaving here and heading for Laughlin Nevada. Laughlin is a small casino town, sort of a miniature Las Vegas, that loves and welcomes RVers, so I plan on spending some time boondocked in a casino parking lot and gambling till my roll of quarters runs out, which is generally about 15 minutes.

As you can see its not tall enough to reach the roof of the Arctic Fox, so I Use it to get on top of the Living room slide, and from there I can step onto the roof. Here it is almost sundown and I'm still trying to find a place to put my rearview camera antenna in vein hope that it will someday actually work.

I accidentally woke up this morning as the sun was coming up, I try not to make a habit of doing that. but since I was up I felt like I had to take a picture. There were no clouds in the sky so I knew it was going to be a very plain picture but at least It's proof that I don't sleep till noon.........on most days.

Since I was up so early I decided to visit some Indian ruins. these ruins are 7 or 800 years old and are believed to be made by the Hisat'sinom which in the Hopi language means "long ago people" which also happens to be what the Hopi people call me.

Pottery shards like these litter the ground. and give the impression these people just left.
