Early-morning boondocking, Pima County Fairgrounds Tucson Arizona

The weather around here has certainly been just about perfect, low 80s, during the day, 50s at night, humidity in the teens, and a few scattered clouds every now and then, it's really has been great. Later next week there's some mid-90s in the forecast, so that ought to be interesting. Ordinarily temperatures like that would mean me scurrying for cooler weather, but I'm still not comfortable traveling yet with all of the unknowns still out there, so around the end of the month is still my tentative plan.

Next Friday is when I have to re-up or move on so I'm thinking that if I decide to re-up again for another week I might move across the road to the regular hookup sites and stay there for a while. I'm going to have to go over there anyway before I leave to dump my tanks and take on some water and if I stay over there for a while it will give me a chance to rinse my tanks out really well.

But I don't know yet, the only thing keeping me here is waiting for things to open up in other parts of the country so if things begin to open up before next Friday I'll leave then.

At least this year I am in the desert waiting instead of in the salt air corroding and sweating.

And that's a good place to be Barney. I had all of the humidity and sweating I could stand living in Miami Florida and have no desire to deal with it anymore other than briefly.

I hear you're working on a recipe for Bat stoup, MMMMMM good, don't forget to shave the Bat first they cook quicker that way.

Well thank you JB I enjoy them to. The only problem is they remind me of being in a frosty cold place and frosty and cold is not something I want to be reminded of.

Frosty and cold pictures might be a good thing to view if you have to stay there much longer.

Sounds like you've been here before. I've been lucky so far with temperatures in the mid-80s at the most, and as you know with the humidity in the teens that temperature is perfectly comfortable. But later next week the forecast is for the mid to high 90s for at least the rest of the month which sounds to me like May might be too hot for me to hang around here. Of course when it gets that hot I'll be able to cook dinner in my outdoor oven which is cunningly disguised as a black pickup truck.
