still working on putting solar power in the bronco pop-up camper....I didn't say I was working fast.

This is one flower that I do know the name of, it's the Colorado state flower the Columbine......I think.

Since today was kind of chilly and cloudy, barely making it into the 60s, I stayed indoors a lot and made up some wires for the solar installation. I had some number six wire laying around doing nothing so I made up a positive and negative cable that will go from the solar controller to the batteries.

I also had the required lugs from another project so it gave me the chance to use the hydraulic crimper that I bought just to do the wiring when I installed the lithium iron batteries under my bed. It was kind of a long run, I think about 8 feet so I used single ought cable which required some fairly big lugs and the hydraulic crimper made a quick and professional looking job of it.

The number six wire I'm using now didn't actually require a hydraulic crimper and I could've done it by hand but the hydraulic crimper does a beautiful job and it made me feel a little better about spending the money on the hydraulic crimper since I got to use it on more than just one job.

If the weather hadn't been kind of rainy I would have put the solar panels on the roof of the pop-up camper today, but I didn't want to get halfway through a Dicor caulking job and have it start raining. I have a tendency to get Dicor all over everything when I'm using it so I prefer doing it all at one time so the cleanup is easier than spreading the job out over two days.
