After fighting a strong head wind for most of the morning I decided to stay at Storrie Lake state Park in New Mexico. I thought I was going to go on to Santa Fe but I got tired of looking at eight miles per gallon on my fuel indicator and pulled into Storrie Lake for a couple of days.
There's nothing wrong with being at Storrie Lake I've stayed here many many times I just thought I was going to try a different state Park, but the cold front that's coming in tomorrow was really kicking up a headwind and Storrie Lake was closer than Santa Fe.
That cold front also caused me to do something I normally wouldn't do, instead of boondocking for free, I paid four dollars and got an electric site. My reasoning for this extravagance was that instead of using my propane which will cost some amount of money, for four dollars I can heat with electricity, run my refrigerator on electricity, cook on my hotplate instead of the propane stove, and use my toaster oven if I want to. So I figure that if it gets cold enough I could be saving money by paying for electricity.
