stress, what is it good for ?

Clicking the pics as everyone knows is done with your fingers and never your toes, but few people will realize that look at this Rose, the beauty of flowers, the simplicity of  prose.

Not much going on today. It's been a typical day of relaxing and thinking. Mostly thinking about how to keep stress out of my life, but since I  have so very little stress in my life I figured I'd wait till I had some and then it would be easier to determine how to get rid of it.

Normally this close to taking a mini-vacation I would be at least a little stressed thinking about getting the camper ready to go, but since everything is always ready to go in the Lance, I couldn't think of anything to stress out about.

I'm also not that far away from someday in October when I'll be leaving and heading South to warmer climates, and I need to be prepared for a winter of traveling. But there again since the truck with the Lance on it is my daily driver it's always prepared to go... Where doesn't matter, so there's no stress there.

I used to be somewhat stressed about my taxes which are due the middle of October since my CPA always applies for a six-month delay. And about that time I would have a bunch of papers to sign around the middle of October for the IRS and the state of Colorado's income tax, on my personal and business taxes, which would normally necessitate an hour long drive to Colorado Springs to my accountant's office to get all the paperwork signed.

But now days due to the somewhat dubious miracle of modern technology, all my papers can be signed on the Internet without ever leaving the comfort of the Lance. So I no longer have to even think about taxes anymore, my CPA handles the paperwork, and I spend 30 seconds on the Internet signing the aforementioned paperwork, and I'm done.... No stress, no mess, no funny Prom dress....I don't know what that means, I just made it up.

I can't of course remove all the stress from my life, because there's too many things that are not in my control. But for the things that are in my control I do my best to keep them IN control so I don't have to worry about them.

But for the left over things that I have no control over, I simply don't worry about them. My philosophy is if I can fix it, I fix it. If I can't fix it, I don't worry about it..."Que Sera, Sera"
