It was an easy drive this morning to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds but it was kind of cloudy wet and chilly. A host quickly checked me in and then led me to my campsite. They have a nice facility here but the pull-through sites are very narrow so that you have to choose whether you need to put out your slide or put out your awning because you can't do both.
Now there are some other sites where you Park parallel to a grassy area and there's plenty of room there but those sites are more expensive and I'm not going to be here long enough to need the extra room.
I haven't had a chance to look around the campground yet because I've been busy getting my Yamaha WR450 into the shop and it's kind of rainy and not much fun walking around outside. But hopefully tomorrow I can look around and take a few pictures.
The tourist season is long gone now so there's plenty of room in the campground. I think they have 40 pull-through sites and there's only about 6 of us here. It is kind of noisy here, the fairground is very near the intersection of 2 major highways but thanks to the Arctic foxes good insulation, double pane windows, and the insulated drapes I put on, I can barely hear anything until I step outside.
