You might be right it could be an "a" in some strange alien language, but in English it looks more like an "O".

Did you get a thickness of the concrete? That would give an idea if it was strong enough to support a structure or not. My first thought would be transport rings landing spot (Stargate?)

That's good thinking, I like the Stargate idea. I didn't check the thickness of the concrete but that sounds like it would be easy to do if it's not too thick.

It's a meditation circle. It's hard to think about anything stressful when you spend hours walking in circles.

Wow! I like those ideas, it makes me want to go over there and walk in circles for a while. And along those same lines, it would make a great place to be during the Zombie Apocalypse because if you stay on the round track you could never be cornered by the Zombies.

I think they may be affiliated with calibration targets to test cameras for the military, but usually those are exes?

I appreciate you contributing to this discussion on the Desert Mystery Circle, and for what purpose it was used by space aliens hundreds if not millions of years ago, but your unscientific hypothesis can only lead true Desert Mystery Circle researchers off the trail of determining if this is actually a Starship base, a Teleportation Portal for time travel or a foundation for a new Circle K, and prevent future generations from understanding the value of having a Time Machine right here in Ajo.
