I went back to the Pioneer Living History Museum this morning and got there when they opened at 9 o'clock. There was only four or five other people there so I got to roam around the grounds and take pictures without any people in the way.

That all ended about 30 minutes later when two school buses showed up and dumped a whole bunch of elementary school kids into the museum which made it extremely difficult to take a picture without one or more kids in the way.

So I had to give up on taking pictures of buildings and started taking close-up pictures of flowers. I have to apologize for my lack of knowledge about the names of desert plants. I know the names of a few plants, mostly cacti, but there's a lot of strange plants growing in the desert and I just never had the need to learn the names of all of them.

For most of the year nobody cares what their names are because they all look like brownish, greenish, half dead things that are all baking together in the desert sun. But then during the spring most of them start growing flowers and THEN people are interested in what they're called.

I would have to say that the only plants I can name with any certainty is pretty much limited to the grocery store produce aisle.
