I'm too cold to click the pics, your going to have to do it.

It's pretty to look at... For a while. but by the time March rolls around your swearing you're going to move to the Sahara desert and never see another snowflake for the rest of your life.

I hope I've got everything done for my bug out tomorrow. Of course, I'm only going about 3 miles to the local State Park, mostly to dump my tanks, but since it costs almost as much to dump your tanks as it does to stay for the night, I might as well spend the night with a new view.

I got to thinking that since I'm staying here so late in the season, it feels like I've been here a long time. But since I got here so late in the Spring, because of the Bat flu and all the travel problems it caused, I've actually been here about the same length of time that I usually stay. But I guess when you're in a place that the temperature can be a little over 100°, and by the time you leave it's getting into the single digits, it feels like you've been there a long time.

It always takes me a few days to get used to being in travel mode again. This means I have to start putting things away after using them and not leaving everything lying around like I do when I'm in static mode. I usually live in my daughter's yard, just like I normally live in the desert, I boondock. But because of the cold and my fear of freezing pipes, I've been plugged into the garage these last couple of weeks, so I can have shore power. So now I have to get used to boondocking again and conserving my utilities. And I don't mean conserving in the sense of living without all the utilities I need; I mean not wasting the utilities I have.

I couldn't get the Arctic Fox to the Sahara desert so I chose southern Arizona instead. Now it's just a matter of hitching up and getting there.

Most folks would sweep the snow out of the back of the truck, but my level of laziness requires that I wait for it to melt.... Even if it takes till Spring.

I gave up and ran the AC today. It sure was nice to be cool enough to not sweat sitting at the kitchen table.

I think the last time I was sweating was in Tucson this spring. That was also the last time I ran the air conditioner. But I do have three heaters going at the moment, a little electric heater, my propane heater, and the Arctic Fox's furnace. I don't really need the Arctic Fox's furnace going except to keep the basement pipes from freezing.

It'll take a little time but I'm hoping to rectify my current situation starting tomorrow.

Bon voyage!!! I myself would be filled with trepidation about getting that big baby back on the road but you are most likely of hardier stuff and also know how ti deal with her. ...it...him. Whatever, best wishes for your first day of travel even though it's not as far as you'd really like to end up where it's warmer.

Thank you very much Judith. I have to admit there is a wee bit of trepidation whenever the Arctic Fox sets in one place this long, and I become somewhat rusty in my trailering skills, little though they be. But that goes away after a few miles and the wheels haven't fallen off the trailer and I still remember where the brake pedal is.

I guess that makes you a Frankie Laine, or a Blues Brothers fan. I've headed em up, and I've moved em out. Just not very far.
