Imagine for a moment it's 1903 your the gas station attendant, and it's 118° outside and you're sitting in an uninsulated tin box with a tin roof, so you're not only baking, you're being broiled. And while looking back at your life you come to the realization that this is the best job you've ever had.

That's an old Mobile filling station. I'm surprised someone hasn't stolen that Pegasus over the door. It's probably worth a few bucks.

That sign was still a rusty reddish-brown before I changed everything to black-and-white. Fortunately in the desert metal tends to last a lot longer, things will get a coating of rust but it doesn't seem to rust away like it does in the South with the high humidity.
