Another beautiful day today, that's two in a row, I wonder how long my luck will last. The temperatures aren't that great being in the high 50s low 60s but the humidity is low enough that I'm comfortable in a long sleeve shirt.
It's been so chilly of late that I've been running my radiant heater a lot so I only got a little over two weeks out of my last 10 gallon tank of propane. And to make it worse there have been four or five nights that were forecast to get below freezing so I had to run my furnace all night, and that thing sucks up a lot of propane for the amount of heat it puts out. I think financially I would've been better off staying over at the full hookup sites instead of boondocking where I could've used my electric heater, but I don't boondock for financial reasons, I do it because I love it.
I spent some time this morning watching the Cowboys do their cattle cutting thing and it is fascinating to see those horses work, it's almost like they can read that cows mind and knows which way he's gonna run almost before the cow does.
I also like being around ranch and farm type people, I don't know why. I've never wanted to own a ranch, I wouldn't have a horse if you paid me, and I'm way too lazy to work on a farm. But for some reason I feel a kinship with people that live off the land, people that are self-sufficient, take responsibility for their own lives, and take pride in what they do. Maybe that's why I enjoy boondocking, it's a lazy man's way of trying to be self-sufficient.
Cowboys like the old ways, but had no trouble adopting the cell phone
I know this is just bad picture taken on my part, but I like to tell myself it's "art."
Women are always fussing with their clothes. Cowgirls have even more clothes to fuss with.
