things I need to do but haven't done

Of all the things that you can do, clicking the pics makes your dreams come true. Depending of course when you pull the trigger, and as long as your dream is to make the pic bigger.

The boondocker

There's almost as many reasons for boondocking as there are boondocker's, but near the top of almost everyone's list Is the peace and solitude of the quiet places that can be found if you know where to look.

Not everyone enjoys the clank and clatter of your average commercial RV park, nor the sight of acres of RVs lined up awning to elbow stretching in every direction, and the great throngs of people that inhabit them.

A few people...strange people to be sure, seek something different, and by turning their back on fear, overcoming challenges, and becoming self-sufficient, are often rewarded with an all too brief visit to the peace and solitude of one of those quiet places.

The last Friday before Thanksgiving is now here and almost gone, and I haven't done anything useful to prepare to hunker down for the holiday yet. I want to buy some groceries to survive the holiday without going anywhere. And I should refill a propane tank so I won't have to do that during Thanksgiving. Those things can be fairly quickly done; but I have to muster up a molecule of ambition and a nano-second of enthusiasm just to start my hunkering-down plans.

Technically, I have enough propane to last till after the holiday; But I don't have any backup. And I have enough food to last me; I just don't have a special "Thanksgiving dinner" that I would like. Knowing all that causes my procrastination to tell me that since I don't have to do those things, why not just sit here and do nothing? And it certainly doesn't take much convincing from my procrastination that sitting here relaxing is better than dealing with a crowded Walmart full of people fighting over the remnants of the last Butterball Turkey... doing that would be as dumb as going to Walmart on Black Friday, which I've done once to see what was happening, and it was ugly.

So here I sit, stuck between Walmart and a pretty place, wondering which way to go. But I'll get it figured out; I always do, mostly because it's easy to figure things out when you only have to please yourself.
