this Hurts my reputation as a lazy bum

The year ends for this poor bedraggled flower the same way it always does, a couple of nights of below freezing temperatures are more than it can bear and it succumbs to the the cold, the wind, and the snow.....come to think of it so do I.

Yesterday was the busiest day I've had in a long long time. I went up to my storage room in Divide Colorado and rearranged everything so I'm better able to locate things I need which will make it easier for me to sell stuff on eBay next summer

I left here at 7 o'clock in the morning with the temperature around 19°. I had on long underwear and the only coat that I own. When I got to Divide it was about 9 o'clock and 12° I worked until  2 o'clock in the afternoon getting rid of things, repacking things, and rearranging things. So now I've got less boxes in there, a rough idea where things are, which I will probably forget by next summer, and room to walk around and move things.

When I put the stuff in the storage room about three years ago, I was in a hurry to empty my house before the closing date so not much care was taken to correctly label things or properly fill the boxes. So I was able to get rid of a lot of boxes yesterday simply by putting the one or two items in them into another almost full box.

When I pulled out of divide in the afternoon for the hour and a half drive back home I was dog tired and felt like I had just wrestled Roseanne Barr for the last chicken leg on the plate. But at least I could walk in the storage room now without the fear of a ton of boxes collapsing on me.

There was also a little bit of satisfaction in knowing that even though it wasn't the hardest job I ever did in my life, I think I can honestly say it was the hardest job I've done since I went full-time.

Some plants can survive a couple of cold nights and others give up rather easily. this is one of the weaker varieties, it can be devastated with an icy stare.
