thank you Judith. Yeah in Colorado 18 is pretty cold but fairly common. In fact, I checked the weather in Denver this morning and it was -4. But in the bronco, I didn't have room to take a bunch of stuff and some of the stuff that I didn't take was cold weather stuff. At the time I figured that I would use my newfound mobility, and just run from any cold weather, which is basically what I did. It's still going to be chilly in Ajo but the altitude is a lot lower so there shouldn't be no teens in my future.

Keeping an eye on the weather forecast is an important part of boondocking. I used to check the NOAA website at least once a day. It didn't always report precisely where I was but it would give me enough sense of the trends to know what to watch for. I don't remember what we used to do before such technology.

Ordinarily Linda that's what I do, I have plenty of time at night to get on the computer and see what the weather's going to be, especially if it's nice and warm in Arizona and freezing cold, with a bunch of snow in Denver.... I'm not above gloating under those circumstances.
