This is the Home Depot right across the river from my boondocking spot in the Riverside parking lot. There's a nice view from this Home Depot.
Last night, the time changed and messed up my brain causing me to wake up waaay too early this morning. So with the entire world still asleep, I went for a walk on the boardwalk that runs alongside the Colorado River and past several of the casinos built next to the Colorado.
Every time the time changes, I stay confused for days with my mind telling me one thing and my body telling me another. But the confusion reaches maximum sustainable limits when I have to deal with anything to do with Arizona and its relationship with the clocks of the world.
You see, back in the day, Arizona wisely decided not to change its times twice a year like the rest of the country. So Arizona stays normal with no ill effects whatsoever every Spring and Fall. At the same time, the rest of the country goes all goofy, throwing everyone's life out of whack for no logical reason anyone can determine.
This ill-conceived time change concept gets even more challenging to deal with when you happen to be located on the border of Arizona and any of the other states that made the dopey decision to tamper with the laws of nature, such as Nevada, where I happen to be located at the moment.
Now it's lunchtime in Laughlin, Nevada, and when I finish eating, I can drive across the bridge to Bullhead City, Arizona, and it's lunchtime all over again. This is great for the restaurant business but not very good for my diet.
And it's a good thing I don't watch television anymore because there's absolutely no way to tell when the 6 o'clock news comes on if you're in a state bordering Arizona.
The only thing worse than being across the river from Arizona during a time change is if you were unfortunate enough to be driving across a state line that was in a different time zone, and at that exact moment the Spring time change occurred. That could cause time to shift forward and backwards at the same time and Physicists speculate it could cause a tear in the space-time continuum, which may very well send our entire galaxy spinning into a black hole where it would be eaten by the Kraken.

A water taxi brings casino patrons from the Bullhead City side of the river to the Riverside Casino. The Riverside casino has a huge parking lot on the Bullhead City side.
