time sure does fly when you're having fun.

The sunset was a bit disappointing but pretty nonetheless.

I got a good night sleep last night knowing that I didn't want to get up before the sun came up to get a picture of the sunrise. I needed to catch up on some sleep since I've been getting up before sunrise almost every day on Padre island, so it felt good to sleep in for a change.

I took a few pictures of the sunset last night but it was kind of disappointing. There was a nice cloudy sky which is the key to a pretty sunset, but they ended up being too thick for the sun to shine through so it wasn't all that great, but I'll try again tonight

I've been packing up getting ready to leave tomorrow even though there's not much to do to get ready. For a two night stop like this everything generally stays packed up and the biggest things I have to do is, dump the tanks, put away the sewer hose, water hose, shore power cord, bring in the living room slide, and hook up the truck. And I've done that stuff enough that if I wanted to I could probably do it all in 20 minutes. When I'm boondocking its a lot more simple since I'm not hooked up, I just put in the slide, and hook up the truck. And of course the simplest of all is boondocking in a Walmart parking lot I just bring in the slide, get in the truck and drive away.

A good time to be fishing.

The fishing pier at Corpus Christi state Park.

Long time ago this old building played a major role in this Park. It was built in the mid 30s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, "CCC" as a refectory, but over the years has been used as the park headquarters, bathhouse, gift shop, and a social gathering place for dances, weddings and such. It's off by itself, removed from the populated areas of the Park, abandoned and apparently nothing at all goes on at the property. I've been here before and it's always given me the willies. I don't know why because there's nothing in the building, just empty rooms, but I always feel like I'm not alone, that I'm being watched.
