Time being of the essence as lawyers often say, definitely applies to my life right now because I don't think I have much time to make a decision about whether or not I should leave the LTVA and find another place to stay. Because if they are going to kick us all out of Quartzsite, which they may or may not do, it might only take a rumor to start an RV stampede to greener pastures.

I've given a lot of thought about what I should do and right now I'm leaning heavily towards packing up and bugging out. And I'm leaning that way for one very good reason, I don't like sitting around waiting helplessly for someone else to tell me what to do. I've always been happiest when I'm making my own decisions about my life, even if they're bad ones, I'll take responsibility and move on, but I want to make those decisions.

If I stay here I will have no control over my situation, all I'll be able to do is hope that things turn out okay. If I hit the road my future, good or bad, will at least be in my hands and I always feel better if I'm in control of my own life.

As usual I'm not 100% sure of all that just yet but I will be in the next day or so because I don't want to stick around here until it's too late, and since I don't know what to late is it makes more sense to leave early.

Looking forward to how this turns out. I understanding wanting to act rather than react. Plus, it’s going to get hot soon.

I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out myself.

Like most full-time RVers I designed my full timing lifestyle around being able to stay in places where it's warm in the winter and cool in the summer. And being a boondocker that has no air conditioning available most of the time it's even more important to be able stay in cool places during the summer. But all of those plans have been tossed out the window.

So it looks like, for a while at least, I'm going to have to deal with the weather getting a little hot. But I'm hoping I'll be able to get to a cooler location when this current self isolation phase is over the end of April. My ideal situation would be New Mexico parks opening back up so I could do like I normally do and slowly work my way up through New Mexico following the good weather.

But right now when it starts getting kind of hot I'll just have to deal with it, after all I may be sweaty, but who's gonna know or care.

This not knowing when is driving us all nuts. If they could give us an end date for this pandemic it would make everyone happier. Alas, "they" simply don't know, either.

Yes that is the problem, they simply don't know. But nobody knew when World War II was going to end, we didn't know when the Vietnam War was going to end, they didn't know when the AIDS epidemic was going to end, and we didn't know if Sylvester Stallone's Rocky movies would ever end. But we still managed to survive.

And we won't know when it will end because the politicians in charge see it one way, and the doctors in charge see it another. The politicians are leaning towards helping the country get out of the economic mess were in, and the doctors are leaning towards keeping the health crisis under control. And its going to be up to President Trump to make what may be the toughest decision that any President has ever had to make. Trying to avoid an economic depression, and at the same time trying to keep as many people as possible from dying from the coronavirus, knowing that an economic depression will also kill people.

What I'm most concerned about is if people start getting back to work relatively soon in the areas where the virus is not too bad that will start to get the economy moving again, but what's going to happen to us geezers?

That means there will be more people running around that can give us the virus, We will still be just as vulnerable as we are now, we still won't be able to go to a restaurant or shop in a grocery store without having to grab and run, we will still be susceptible to getting the virus and apparently will be until they come up with a vaccine which they say is a year or more away. Are we going to have to self isolate for a year? I don't think I've got enough toilet paper to deal with that.

The point is just because some people start unisolating themselves and the country starts getting back to normal, which I'm sure it will, what's going to happen to us old folks who are still in the same position as we are now.... for us nothing changes.
