Tombstone Arizona.... Again

One of the things I like about Picacho Peak State Park is they give everyone plenty of room. Even though there's a lot of people here I can still pretend I'm all alone if I can look out of my windows and see Saguaro's instead of RVs.

I left my campsite at Picacho peak state Park late morning and got to Tombstone, Arizona, just after lunch. Why Tombstone? I don't know, except I like it there. It reminds me of being in the tourist business, which I have always enjoyed. Or maybe it reminds me of the Western history I love; there's lots of that Western history represented here. Allen Street, the main drag, seems to ooze gunfighters and silver miners.

But for whatever reason, here I am. I'll probably only stay for one night unless I see something interesting. I'm staying at my usual place, boondocking at a boondocking RV Park for $10 a night. The price is reasonable, but its main claim to fame is that it's only a block from Allen Street, where all the action is. That makes it easy for me to walk to Allen Street, walk up and down Allen Street enjoying the ambience, and easily walk back home without having to make a long drive to wherever I used to camp prior to this place opening up.

It got pretty warm today. It hit 85 here in Tombstone, which is kinda warm considering Tombstones 4500 feet altitude. It didn't take me long to start complaining about the hot weather, especially since it doesn't feel hot with the single-digit humidity. But there's no pleasing us geezers. It gets old talking about it, because It's either too hot or too cold never just right, but that's  the price we pay for living long enough to lose our ability to deal with normal changes in the weather.

This is a very common desert plant, and I'm sure it has a name, it's got green beans, fuzzy fluff balls, and yellow flowers, that's a lot of stuff for a plant with no name, so I'm sure it's got one, I just haven't had the time to look it up.

They were even some folks of the female persuasion trying to keep the gunfighters from shooting each other.... But did they listen? It wouldn't have been much of a show if they did.
