Well here it is the last day of July and I can't believe how this month has flown by. Things will start getting uncrowded real quick now. Some kids start back to school next week, and by the 2nd week of August almost all the tourist will be gone. All that means is it will be a lot easier and safer to get around. The campgrounds will empty out, parking lots will have places to park and restaurants will have tables available. Then peace and quiet will last until about the middle of September when the leaves change and then it will get crowded again for a couple of weeks.

I haven't made up my mind yet when I'm going to leave Poverty Gulch. I'm still happy here, I haven't been bored, and I've got some shooting I need to do. So I really haven't given any thought to leaving. I would consider staying here all summer if it weren't for the lack of phone service and Internet. I have to drive about 5 miles to get a phone signal which wouldn't be so bad except the roads are pretty rough and it's annoying to have to use the computer while setting in my truck.

I'm going to try something different with my blog. instead of posting 4 or 5 blogs at once on the same day I'm going to put them all on my blog hosting service, which is called Weebly if you've ever wondered, and let Weebly post one every day. I hope that works and everything I've written doesn't disappear into space somewhere. I guess I'll find out the next time I get some Internet.

Glad you are having a great time at your property! Hope your new plan works & hope you can get your motorcycle fixed, surely somebody can come up with a way to lower it so you'll be more comfortable. We don't need you getting hurt while you're having so much fun, that would be a bummer.

In one of your post you stated being worried about loosing your readers, well don't we'll still be anxiously waiting for another great post. Just enjoy your time seeing the country so we can live vicarious through you.

I've been meaning to ask you if you have you tried any of the recipes yet?

Thank you for the encouragement Maggie, I do feel bad when I don't keep up with my blog even when it's for a good reason and not just laziness.

They are a couple places in Colorado that work on motorcycle suspensions and they can lower the Yamaha for me. I put that off till last because that's the most expensive way to do it. There's really not much chance of me getting hurt because of the Yamaha being too tall because it's only a problem when I have to put my foot down and the only time I do that is when I stop. So it's more of an embarrassment than a danger.

I am having a good time at poverty gulch, there's almost always something for me to do and just being here relaxes me, I just wish there was a solution to the no phone and no Internet problem.

Well it's not exactly a recipe but I have used your recommendation a few times of buying a roasted chicken and cutting it up and freezing it. That works out well for me and I don't have to eat the chicken in one or 2 days.

Yes poverty Gulch is a beautiful place and every day I'm thankful I'm able to live in places like this. And your comment has once again reminded me that being a full-time RVer is all about staying in places that you enjoy.

And the best part is you don't have to own those beautiful places, or pay property tax like I do at Poverty Gulch. There are beautiful places like this in the National Forests all over Colorado that you can stay at for free and all it takes is a National Forest map and a little time to go exploring.
