Glad it is working for you. I wonder if the care is better where there is a larger military presence both full time and retired. Friends that are in the system seem to be well cared for. My brother who lives in So. Cal receives care in Long Beach and they have dealt with many medical issues with him. Sometimes he has to wait for a surgery but they get it done. Might be different in areas where there is little or no military presence.

I think there's something to that Larry, my dad always said he chose Homestead Air Force Base in South Florida to retire from the Air Force because they had better medical care for retirees. And his theory was based on all of the Pentagon bigwigs that retired in South Florida because of the deep sea fishing, and the year-round golf.

Hi your care at the VA is based on the fact you are a retired General Officer. Just kidding. I am glad it is working as it should. I am recouping from surgery #4 with the VA and I am glad I have them. Remember the VA is like a new girlfriend till the shine wears off. In the meantime we must endeavor to persevere and enjoy life. Take care and when you feel like it go to your property and do some shooting it helps.

I was but a lowly Sergeant in the Air Force S C and General Officers used my worthless carcass as traction for their staff cars. So I'm surprised that the VA is even wasting their time on me.

Thank you Linda. I too am happy to have the VA on my side since I don't have any insurance other than the basic Medicare, so there's no way I could afford any of this if I actually had to pay for it.
