I got to Tombstone this morning about 9:30, got the business stuff out of the way, then walked around town and took a few pictures. I have found it best to get to Tombstone early before the throngs of tourist fill the place up and make taking pictures difficult.
It was a beautiful morning for doing this, low 70s, a few puffy clouds in the sky, and only a slight breeze. I couldn't have asked for better.
I wandered around town for a couple of hours and by then things were getting busy, and the day was starting to heat up, so I got in the truck and headed back to Benson .
I got some fuel, and stopped at Walmart and Safeway on the way home since I will be hooking up this afternoon and leaving in the morning. It feels weird leaving Benson this quick because normally I hang around here for a while. But I've got those Easter holiday crowds on my mind and I need to find a place to hunker down until it's over.
The original 1800s City Hall. It's still the Marshals office and the jail. If you look in the back you can see a couple of prisoners standing there.
The main street of Tombstone is named Allen Street.
This building has been many things in the past, mostly a bank, but now it's the Visitors Center .
The building on the left, Campbell & Hatch Billiards, is where Morgan Earp was shot and killed playing pool.
If your fancy needs tickling this is the place to go.
